Dr. Zhongxi Lin is an accomplished pianist and music director with nearly three decades of experience in performance, education, and community engagement. Holding a Doctor of Musical Arts in Keyboard and Collaborative Piano, she combines artistic vision with a deep commitment to mentorship and inclusivity. Her career spans international concert stages, university classrooms, and cultural institutions, where she has led choirs, curated diverse concert programs, and fostered cross-cultural dialogue through music. Passionate about inspiring others, Dr. Lin thrives in creative, student-centered environments and brings a flexible, collaborative approach to musical leadership within both academic and non-academic communities.

Community Project (2019)

As Artist-in-Residence and team leader, Dr. Zhongxi Lin designed and led the Musical Memories Program: an arts-based wellness initiative that bridged music education, community engagement, and cognitive support for aging populations, particularly individuals with dementia.

Doctoral Research (2024)

During her doctoral research, Dr. Zhongxi Lin demonstrated a strong commitment to interdisciplinary inquiry by combining performance analysis, music theory, and partnership psychology to explore the evolving role of the collaborative pianist as an equal artistic partner.

Award/Achievement

Zhongxi Lin has achieved impressive milestones in her career, including First Prizes in both Solo and Chamber Piano at the Golden Classical Music Award International Competition in 2022, and the Silver Star at the 2nd Carles & Sofia International Piano Competition. She has also earned full fellowships from the University of California, while performing at renowned venues like Carnegie Hall and Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall.
